Limited Museum Stock available. The 2013 vintage enjoyed a perfect ripening season. The hand picked fruit is a Bordeaux-inspired blend of 68% cabernet sauvignon and 32% merlot, seeing 18 months on 43% new French oak. The nose is of ripe blackcurrant, cedar, violets, chocolate, dried and choc mint and charry oak. The wine has a complex palate, great balance, full and chalky tannins, with creamy vanilla oak and a long finish. Lovely mid-palate juiciness is obtained from the merlot. Drinking superbly at bottling, this fine wine will only improve with good cellaring until at least 2023. Low Museum Stock available. A slightly cooler and wet March enabled a longer ripening season in 2015, resulting in another excellent vintage. The hand-picked fruit comprised 92% cabernet sauvignon and 8% merlot, which was matured over 19 months in 40% new French oak. The nose provides dense fruit and some earthy tones, with mulberry, cassis, mocha, dried bay leaf, cardamom and cigar box evident. The palate presents rich, dark fruits, including dried plum. The wine is of fine, dusty tannins, well integrated oak and a long, elegant finish. The nose displays black fruits and mulberry, complemented by tobacco, cocoa and cedar. The palate presents thick layers of ripe tannin, ripe mulberry, tobacco and dried mint, on a long, elegant finish. Drinking wonderfully at bottling, this wine will reward cellaring for many years to come. The hand-picked fruit was aged in 40% new French oak for 17 months. The wine is of deep red colour with purple hues. The nose provides aromas of cherry, earth and lifted aromatics of spice, with background cinnamon, lavender florals and dried mint. First Release rom a picture perfect vintage with hand-picked grapes in pristine condition. This Chardonnay was whole bunch pressed directly to 36% new light toast French Burgundy oak barrels for 10 months. A lovely pale straw green in the glass, the nose shows citrus, green pear and meadow flowers. The palate has a juicy core of acidity running through with limes, green apple and nectarine flavours, lovely intensity and length. Cellaring for up to 12 years from bottling.
